Every great design consists on three parts or interacts. The first one is called 'The Approach'. The designer takes something ordinary: an electri cal appliance, a regular activity or a group of people. He studies this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed needed, desirable, pure. But of course... it probably isn't. The second part is called 'The Concept'. The designer takes the ordinary something and turns it into something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be amazed. But you won't have it yet. Because making a concept of something isn't enough; you have to bring it to life. That's why every design has a third part, the hardest part, the one that we call 'The Product'
